EUROPE HOUSE CAPABILITY STATEMENT

Europe House is a not-for-profit corporation, fostering a better global understanding of the European Union and its member states, through business ventures, trade missions, education, business exchanges, technology, and internet applications.

WHY EUROPE HOUSE
The European Union

The European Union--previously known as the European Community--is an institutional framework for the construction of a united Europe. It was created after World War II to unite the nations of Europe economically so another war among them would be unthinkable. Presently twenty seven countries are members of the European Union and close to 500 million people share the common institutions and policies that have brought an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity to Western Europe.

The EU – a Major Global Business Partner

European integration was launched after World War II with the active support of the United States, and the Atlantic partnership has remained firm ever since.

As one of the world's largest trading powers, and as a leading economic partner for most countries, the EU is a major player on the world scene. Its scope for action extends increasingly beyond trade and economic questions. More than 130 countries maintain diplomatic relations with the EU, and the EU has over 100 delegations around the world. The United States and Europe are economically interdependent. Some 40 percent of US investment abroad goes to the EU, as do some 20 percent of US exports, making the EU one of the top two markets for the US. The EU-27 is the source of some 58 percent of foreign investment in the US. Up to 3.5 million highly paid jobs in the US are due to EU investment and a permanent dialogue is carried on between the EU and the US on matters of mutual concern through regular consultations at the highest official levels.

EUROPE HOUSE – We want to be your Partner
Europe House 5 founding members, of which 4 are European nationals, are an active force in promoting and participating in the process of European integration and business development. Europe House is a reliable and knowledgeable partner for anyone seeking to connect with, or do business around the world with European partners. EUROPE HOUSE AND THE PAER GROUP

Urgent environmental concerns, high cost of energy, electricity deregulation, global warming, technology improvements and increased efficiencies have expanded market opportunities for alternative energy and its commercial applications.

In order to meet these demands Europe House in coordination with European partners has recently formed the Partnership for Alternative Energy Resources (PAER) in the Netherlands which will capitalize on the above issues. The PAER group is represented in the US by Europe House.

a) By seeking out innovative alternative energy resources that can be applied to existing and new energy projects within the domestic and industrial sector. Specifically, in the area of energy (bio-mass, wind, solar and tide), agriculture, heating, cooling, transportation and logistics, waste disposal, and other sectors of industry, which are presently using conventional sources of energy.

b) To promote and sell these new technologies and products on the international market through local and international partner companies, to be known as the Europe House PAER Partners.
